Straw is NOT waterproof. These will take a good beating, but naturally they will shrink up and become brittle over time if exposed to too much water.

    I love this hat! It’s my new lake hat. It has a wide brim that shields your face from the sun yet is light enough not to be a burden on your head. Recommend!
