How Do Dixxon Flannels Fit?
Dixxon flannels run relaxed through the chest and shoulders, easy from the start, always comfortable, never sloppy or boxy.
Because that room's already built into the cut, your usual flannel size gets you in the right neighborhood, though the final decision depends on how you'll actually wear it:
If you add a hoodie or something heavier underneath, size up one.
If you're broad through the shoulders and stuck between sizes, go for the larger one.
If you wear it over a tee or a light base layer, stick with your normal size.
Either way, all of this depends on having accurate measurements in the first place.
How to Measure for a Flannel Shirt
Grab a soft measuring tape (not the metal one from the garage), and measure over a thin shirt so the numbers reflect what you'd actually wear underneath.
Focus on these four areas:
Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest. Keep the tape level and don't suck in.
Sleeve length: Measure from the center back of your neck, across your shoulder, and down to your wrist with your arm slightly bent.
Shoulders: Measure across your back from shoulder to shoulder.
Body length: Measure from the top of your shoulder near your neck down to where you want the bottom of the shirt to land.

What About Women's and Youth Flannels?
Dixxon women's flannels are custom-tapered through the waist for a tailored silhouette rather than a straight cut, but they keep that same relaxed room through the shoulders and arms. Match your measurements to the chart, and bump up a size if you plan to layer over thicker clothes.
The same rule applies to youth flannels: prioritize comfort and movement. Kids grow, and they also run, climb, fall down, and generally refuse to stay still. If they're between sizes, sizing up gives them room to grow into it without slowing them down.
Should You Size Up for Riding, Work, or Layering?
Sometimes. If you're shopping for riding gear or job-site flannels, pay extra attention to the shoulders and sleeves. The relaxed cut already covers most everyday movement, but if your chest measurement puts you right between sizes and you know you'll be reaching, working, or riding a lot, go with the larger one.
Same goes for layering. A flannel that fits perfectly over a T-shirt can get tight fast if you force a hoodie underneath.
